Next Study Starting: Thursday, Aug. 18th

Alright everyone here we go...
We have heard back from almost everyone regarding what study we should do next. It actually worked out pretty nice where there were only two study selected and the vote was exactly 50/50. What we decided to do was to put both study options in a hat, to make it fair, and we pulled out the study we will do next. The study that did not get chose will be the study we do next. Makes it nice so we have something lined up to start right when our next study ends. So I know now you are all wondering what was pulled out of the hat....

The study we will be starting up on Thursday, August 18th, will be Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit, by Francis Chan. Okay, so everyone will be responsible for purchasing the Workbook and the actual book on their own. We have done the research and found it the cheapest on ChristainBooks.com. The book is $7.99 and the workbook is $8.49, everyone will need to have both books by our first group (1book and workbook per couple should be fine). Brandon and I will get the cd that goes along with the study so don't worry about that. Okay, so group will be at our house Aug, 18th, so two weeks from today at 6:00pm. Any volunteer babysitters? We won't start the study until our second meeting. On the 18th it will be a bit of a social night to catch up and we will also all look the book, workbook, and cd over together as a group and decide how we are going to do the study. Whatever couple is put babysitting, I will get up to speed with what we decide after group. If I have lost you or confused you in anyway please contact me and I'll try to better explain it. Also I will be making a dessert and I will have drinks if anyone else wants to bring a snack that would be awesome!

Just FYI, our next study will be studying a Book of the Bible. We will do that right after we finish the Francis Chan study, so please start thinking about what book you would like to study so we can start narrowing that down. As for childcare, we will remain rotating couples to watch the kids (minus the Dutton's because they get child care on their own) until at least January 2012. There has been no decision made in that regard as it is not a pressing issue at this point. Please remember to inform Brandon or Myself if you are interested in leading or starting a group of your own so we can point you in the correct direction.
