Small Group Recap from Last Thursday...

We had a few people out last week so I thought I would catch everyone up to what we discussed.

Brandon and I had a meeting with our apprentice leaders, The Altmans, and we came up with a new agenda and a new direction for the Small Group. We are taking a more aggressive approach as leaders so that we are not comfortable. God doesn't want us to be comfortable because when we become comfortable we are not growing. We know we are not perfect but we would like to try some new things out. Our goal is to press in further to Christ and ensure that our focus is constantly on Him. With that being said, we are eliminating the food from group. If you do not have time to eat prior to group we are totally fine if you pick up something on the way or bring a sack dinner and eat it during the study. I think we can all agree that we have the fellowship part down so we will be pushing that part of group to after the study. The new agenda is as follows:

We understand life has traffic jams and late days at work. Bible study will start on time each week. If you are late, please come in quietly and join, just as you would at church.
* 6:10pm-7:00pm - Bible Study
* 7:00pm-7:30pm - Fellowship (optional)

If anyone feels like bring a dessert for fellowship time following the study feel free but we will not have a set schedule each week. If someone shows up with something sweet it will be a little treat and surprise each week. Please pray about the new direction we are taking and join in if it is something you would like to be a part of. Our hope is that 2011 will be a great year for our small group. P.S. The Williams will be incharge of Child Care this week.
P.P.S. The Hauquitz would like to stay after group for a mini game night for the adults. I know we just had an adult night so if you can't join its no biggy, just thought we would put it out there if it is something you are interested in. They are trying to take advantage of their time to hang out before their 2nd baby comes.
