A Peaceful Habitation

A long time ago our small group had a garage sale. We made a a nice chunk of money and are still trying to figure out ways to spend it all. We used some of it cooking dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. Last night we decided to use the rest of the money to help support a home called A Peaceful Habitation. The house basically helps women that have just been released from jail get back on their feet. It is a Christian organization that is supported by our church. Here is the website if you would like to read more about it A Peaceful Habitation.

There’s an office in the house that really needs to be painted as soon as possible, so the guys decided to do it this weekend. Chris was able to get the paint donated by Sherwin Williams! That’s awesome! So Matt and I will go tonight and buy any extra supplies we need for painting. There’s also a need for some decorating to be done in the living room and dining room. It would be great if one night this week the girls could meet up at hobby lobby and pick out some décor to make it feel like home to the girls living there. What do you girls think about meeting at Hobby Lobby on Monday at 7? Let me know how that works for you. Here’s some pictures of the house. So you girls be thinking how we could decorate =)

Also, here’s a list of other need the house has. SO if any of you have anything off this list laying around your house that you would like to donate you could bring it to the next small group meeting. Current Needs

Plan for tomorrow:

Guys will be meeting at A Peaceful Habitation at 12 noon. Chris has the paint and Matt A and Matt W will have the supplies.

Here’s a direction’s to the house:

1. Take 1-40 to Eubank and go North on Eubank.

2. Go East on Indian School.

3. Go past Morris and start looking for Martha on your Left.

4. It’s the first two houses on the left of Martha.

5. Go into the second house on the left side of Martha. It’s directly across the street from a big church.

If you have any problems call my Mom Susan at 710-2099 or me 417-8801

Thanks everyone! Sorry it’s kind of last minute, but I think this is a great opportunity and a wonderful way to use the garage sale money.

Have a great day!

Kaitlyn
