Unfortunately, my sister found out today that she lost her baby during her 18th week of pregnancy. She went in for her scheduled appointment today with her husband and my nephew to see the baby on the ultrasound and to find out the sex. Soon after beginning the ultrasound, the tech turned to Jill and said, "oh Jill." At that point Jill sent her son Parker, age 5, and her husband, Rick, out of the room so as not to upset Parker. The baby was fully developed to 18 weeks so it probably died within the past couple of days.
This obviously crushed my sister! The hardest part is yet to come, for they will have to induce Jill to have the stillborn baby. I cannot imagine how difficult that process will be.
Please take a moment to pray for my family. It has been a rough day. They still reside in Holton, KS and it is Jill and Rick Crouch and their two kids Paige and Parker. Paige is taking it very hard for she was looking forward to helping take care of the baby.
We are shaken as a family as we struggle to understand why God would give the gift of life and hope and then take it away. Jill and Rick are incredible Christians and great parents, which makes it all the harder to understand.
Sorry for the terrible post, but we need some prayers from our Band of Brothers!
