Hi everyone! We were so bummed to hear that the Burgess's are stepping down as leaders. This group has meant so much to us and has helped us grow as individuals and as a couple. Not to mention it has done wonders for Piper. We would like to step up as leaders and want to continue to meet as a small group. We don't know all the logistics of how the group will pan out but we hope that everyone will join us in continuing the group. We would love to have a brainstorm/regroup meeting to get things ironed out. We are sad to see the Burgess family step down but understand that they need to do what is right for their family. We are excited to see what the Lord has for our small group.

Small Group this Week
I just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page since Small Group was cancelled last Thursday. We will be discussing the questions from this past weekends Sermon. Since we missed last weeks group we are just going to skip last weeks questions and move on to this current weeks sermon. I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions please contact Brandon or Myself and we will try and better explain ourselves. And as always, if you will not be here this week please let us know, otherwise we will see you all on Thursday. Have a great week.

Update on Lindsey's Nephew
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to post an update on Lindsey's Nephew Anthony. After 10 days in the pediatric ICU, baby Anthony finally gets to go home today. After tons of blood work and 3 lumbar punctures they have found nothing wrong. They believe he caught some kind of bad virus and his body just wasn't strong enough to fight off the infection. He is doing much better. Thank you so much for all the continued prayers for their family. Hope you are all having a great week. See you all Thursday. Please let me know if you will not be here.
Take Care,
Vanessa

Prayer Request Update
Hey all,
I just wanted to give an update on my nephew and ask for continued prayer for him. I just left the hospital and today they did a third lumbar puncture on baby Anthony to rule out a specific bacterial infection. With the first he was very dehydrated so they didn't have enough fluid to complete the tests. The second test was contaminated (not exactly sure what that means) so they were unable to identify a negative or positive test result. My sister asked that we pray that this last test comes back negative. Even if this test doesn't come back positive, if it is again contaminated they are going to treat him for the infection. This would be a 21-day treatment and based on our understanding he would have to remain in the hospital for that time because it can only be administered via IV.
My sister and brother-in-law are understandably tired and very concerned. Its been a very stressful time. Its also been difficult because they still have Alyssa, their 2-year-old daughter, at home that they haven't been able to see or spend much time with. On top of everything she's sick with an upper respiratory infection and is on antibiotics. She's doing well, but really misses mom and dad.
Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated!

Prayer Request
Hey guys.
This is a prayer request regarding my dad. Spoke with my mom today and she stated that the cancerous mass under his arm is not improving despite many round of Chemo. He had a chemo session today, his white and red blood counts are down. In about 2 weeks they will do another CT scan, if in fact the chemo in not helping they will cancel his remaining treatments. There may not be much more they can do to slow the progression of the cancer.
Please keep his health and spirits in your prayers. As well as My mom in your prayers, as she is taking care of him and supporting him in this tough circumstance.
Thanks so much

Update
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to say thank you for all of your prayers and support over the past few days. First for everything that happened with me on Saturday and now for what is going on with my nephew today. I'm pretty sore and bruised from my fall, but very grateful that God was with me and the baby when I fell. It could have been so much worse. I know that God had His hand on us.
As for my nephew, we're still not quite sure what is wrong with him. Thankfully after an ultrasound on his heart and an EKG the doctor's no longer believe that the problem actually has to do with his heart. His heart beat is still unusually high, but they think it is the result of an infection somewhere else in the body and not any problem with his heart specifically. They have been doing all sorts of intrusive procedures all day and running tons of tests. The poor little guy has been through a lot today. We've been told that he'll be in the hospital a minimum of three days and that's if they're able to quickly identify the source of the infection and monitor how he responds to antibiotics. It could be longer if the infection takes longer to locate. Your continued prayers for my nephew, my sister, and our family are appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Lindsey

Another Prayer Request
Hey Again,
I know this is crazy, but I have another very serious prayer request. Lindsey's sister Melissa just had a baby 2 weeks ago. Everything went well and mommy and baby have been doing good. Unfortunately, while they were out of town in Portales, NM the little baby began to have trouble breathing and has a very high fever. They took the baby into the emergency room at 4:30 this morning. The doctors think there is something wrong with baby's heart so they are transporting him by ambulance to Albuquerque. Melissa's husband is in Chicago for work and she ended up leaving her 2 year old daughter in Portales with some family while she travels back to Albuquerque with the baby. Needless to say Melissa is very stressed and beyond worried for her babies health. Please keep Melissa and her family in your prayers. I will give you all an update as soon as I get word on the baby's condition. Thanks in advance for the prayers, I know Lindsey and her family appreciate them very much!
